I'll have to play with those settings on one of my test systems and see what happens.
For people I help that use auto update, I've seen where one of the flash versions does get updated, but not both.
It seems to me if they use Firefox and IE, the FF flash may get updated, but not the IE flash version...and FF is the default browser...
I really don't want to tweak mms.cfg settings on someone else's PC and shoot myself in the foot.
If the Flash updater worked reliably, why would anyone need to do this "geek tweak" ???

I've always had the problem it only auto-updated for my default browser, but today it started updating both players for the first time. The only thing I've done was changing auto to notify and then change it back to auto. Maybe that somehow got the auto-update mechanism to realize I had more than one Flash Player?! Could it be that simple that it has nothing to do with the default browser but instead which browser installed Flash Player first? Because that's when the auto-update was set up initially(sch. task).
I've been trying to wait and see when the auto-updater triggers, but if it's been more than 1 day I don't want to wait anymore. Security first, testing second
