Fonts Unreadable or Large and Bold in Chrome, Firefox, and IE Browsers

After a recent Windows Update, the fonts in all of my available web browsers are behaving strangely. In Chrome, I can't read any of the fonts on sites like Facebook (screen shots attached). When I try Facebook in Firefox or IE, it's gigantic and bold—as if I've zoomed in on the page (but, I haven't. I checked).

I read a thread where some were mentioning that this is a known issue, and I deleted/uninstalled some of the updates mentioned (and shut off automatic updates). It didn't make any difference.

I followed the instructions for posting. There were no error messages, however. I'm not sure what that means, but . . . no error messages. I am having to attach several things separately from the CBS folder because it is too large.

There's nothing in either CheckSUR or CBS to indicate any problems.
From the look of your images, it could well be a problem with cached files - I suggest that you try resetting Internet Explorer to default settings and see if that makes the difference.

Sometimes it helps to use the Ctrl key and the + key combination or Ctrl + roll the mouse wheel to change the view size

I did just reset the settings and restarted the browser, and it didn't help. I just contacted Google about it, too (and attached the screen shot).

I know that it isn't a zoom issue. I know Ctrl + 0 returns a screen back to normal, and my screen isn't scaled. something is wrong.

On my other PC (that also runs Windows 7), everything looks fine. I can't figure out why this is happening on my laptop.

I can deal with the giant fonts, I guess, but the unreadable ones are, well, unreadable.
