Forget version Microsoft office after uninstalled

Hello All,

I have a problem,
At my work, when i performed to uninstalled Microsoft Office to make expand licence.
One day, My boss asked me to installed Microsoft office to other computer and he asked me that, What version of Microsoft office you uninstalled Before and Did you write down the serial key?
It's make me forget about this.

So how can we know which version, serial key that we uninstalled from the previous computer?

I can't help you with your current problem.

To keep track of software, keys, versions, etc., I have found the free download from belarc.com helpful.

Download it and run on your computer. It will find all the software on the computer, giving you the version, software key and other information.

If he`s asking you to install Office, he should have the cd`s / dvd`s and the key.

If you`ve uninstalled it then the software and the key are gone from the pc, you shouldn`t find anything.

If you didn't record the key before uninstalling and the Boss doesn't have the key or the Bosses representative I.T. Department doesn't have the key a new key will have to be bought. The employe that used Office might remember what version Office was.
