I recently created a password and have regretfully forgotten it. I have no windows 7 disk and no other users on my laptop. I have not setup any password reset options i.e. system restore disk etc.

How can I restore my computer or just change my password?

There are programs designed to reset password but I don't think it's appropriate to point to them in the forums.

Remembering the password using the hint as mentioned above is probably best.

There are third-party reset password programs that are available. You may want to Google them.
I am not allowed to recommend one - forum rules.

You can do that in XP, but you can't do it in Vista and 7.

You can restore the system to factory settings from the recovery partition. What is the make of your system - maybe I have the procedure handy (it is different for every make).
