Ok, I've done a few searches, nothing of use could be found.
I have a flash drive that was previously formatted with an EFI partition.
I now want to use the rive for readyboost.
How the heck do I format the drive for use with windows from windows?
I have no Mac machine at hand.

Cheers in advance,
Thorn

You'll have to treat this like any hard drive you would need to perform this on.
Select Start>type DISKPART to enter the diskpart utility at the prompt, enter list disk as below
DISKPART> list disk
take a look at the disk you want to reformat, and select it with the appropriate number, for example:
DISKPART> select disk 1
once selected, you can delete the GPT / EPI by the clean command:
DISKPART> clean
once done, you can then proceed to format the disk the traditional way through disk management and selecting FAT32 or NTFS.

Insert the flash drive in question. Start, type "cmd", right click "cmd.exe" under programs, select Run as administrator, accept any UAC prompt. In the cmd window type diskpart and press enter. Type "lis dis" and press enter. Identify the flash drive containing the EFI partition by size and note it's disk number n. Type "sel dis n" where n is that disk number and press enter. For example: "sel dis 2". Type "cle" and press enter. This erases all partition information from the flash drive. To create a new primary partition encompassing the entire flash drive type "cre par pri" and press enter. To format the partition type "for quick" and press enter. This will quick format the flash drive with the default file system type and allocation unit size. Type "ass" and press enter. This will assign a drive letter and should display an AutoPlay dialog. You may then close the cmd window.

Excellent, thankyou very much gentlemen. I have it written down in my "Tech Little Black Book", but it seems some ***** thought it was more useful to them than me because they pinched it.

+Rep to both of you
