FPS dropped heavily and then BSOD while playing WoW

My computer has had a few BSODs in the past few months. My GPU driver is kind of buggy with me not being able to access Catalyst Control Center because it closes itself. Also not being able to play any modern games because of severe graphical glitches or just crashing. I've tried completely wiping the driver then doing a 100% clean reinstall (many times, using many different techniques) to no avail.

Maybe this problem is unrelated but when I'm browsing in Chrome it suddenly stops responding and then crashes. Then I can't open anything because of 'insufficient memory'. Task manager shows ~6GB of physical memory being used when I am doing absolutely nothing. I've checked the HDD for errors and scanned for viruses.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Try downloading the latest driver from here and save it to your desktop. Download DDU and follow http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/367109-display-driver-uninstaller-how-use.html to remove all traces of your current driver. Reboot and install the downloaded driver.

Also you have three of the worst possible programs you could have installed.

  • DAEMONTools
  • BlueStacks
  • IObit
:ar: Uninstall Daemon Tools, a proven cause of BSODs.

1. Uninstall Daemon Tools via Add/Remove Programs.
2. Download the SPTD standalone installer and perform the following steps.
3. Double click the executable to open it.
4. Click the button shown below.

   Information
If the button it is grayed out as shown in the image, there is no more SPTD installation on your system and you can just close the window.

:ar: Uninstall BlueStacks, a proven cause of BSODs

:ar: Uninstall IOBit. You may have trouble with this, this piece of shite has seen countless people have to reinstall Windows to get rid of it. Vile stuff.

Okay I did everything you told me. Is there a way to check if the problem is still there? Maybe send you some sort of log that will show any errors? I seem to be able to open Catalyst Control Center fine now.

Also would you know a solution for the 'insufficient memory' problem? It has happened a few times in the past month and I usually just restart the computer which solves it. Thanks for your help!

Just use the system as normal and monitor performance. If the memory issue persists post up a screenshot of Task Manager and we'll go from there.

It happened.

Okay so the memory issue just happened. I was browsing Chrome when a balloon popped up telling me my extensions have crashed, then the audio in my video lagged badly and Chrome crashed. After that I tried to open task manager but received this error (First screenshot).

Eventually I was able to open Task Manager and gathered theses screenshots of Processes and Usage (Second screenshot) (Third screenshot). After going into Ctrl+alt+delete my screen resolution reverted to 1024x768 down from 1920x1080. I took a screenshot of the resolution. (Fourth screenshot) I was able to revert the resolution back but the memory problem was still there.

I tried to open up Chrome in an attempt to get a screenshot of Processes. It opened but as soon as I tried to click something it stopped responding and my computer got really laggy. I tried Ctrl+alt+delete but then my screen just went black. I tried moving my mouse but it did this weird thing where it would highlight the parts my mouse went over. I took a screenshot and then the screen went completely black. Computer was fully unresponsive so I just manually turned it off by holding the power button. I turned it back on and everything was fine. Before I went to write this forum post I pasted the attempted screenshot in Paint but it was just a black shot. Also, I've taken a screenshot of what my Processes looks like with Chrome open but without the memory problem, since its impossible to do with Chrome open. Anyway, I salvaged what I could and considering the Snipping Tool wouldn't even open 1/5 times I think I got some pretty good evidence.

Sorry for the creepypasta and thanks in advance!
