I come across the following site
Paragon Backup & Recovery 10 Free Edition - Overview
and Paragon gives the FREE and welcome upgrade of Paragon Drive Backup Express

I've tried Paragon before and found it tiresome & lots of spam from them too.
The free edition lacked so many features that I ended up installing Macrium Reflect Free instead.

Paragon Drive Backup Express was gimpy. This is an improved version that offers all the norm features and two most notable:
the ability to create a bootable USB/flash drive and the ability to do differential backups

The new Free Paragon Edition has a lot more features than the previous version - it is much better than the previous free one, which was quite limited.

It has a lot more features than any other Free backup app.

I've tried Paragon before and found it tiresome & lots of spam from them too.

They will send you info about their new products if you ask them to by signing up to their mailing list. That is not spam - you asked them to do it.

If you don't want to go on the mailing list - don't tick the box asking if you want to go on it.

There is already a thread on this great free product - Paragon Drive Backup and Recovery 10.

HDGraph helps you to free disk space : it finds for you the largest folders on your drive.

It's a free tool allowing to graphically display the hard disk space usage : it shows all the directories and subdirectories of the hard drive on a single graph, allowing to see the largest directories at a glance.

It is compatible with all storage visible in the Windows explorer : folder of hard disk drive, USB key, network folder, CD, DVD, etc...

Thanks Nick,

I like this type of app as I can leave it up on a clients screen while I think what the heck I'm going to do to solve the issue :o - Bright colours tend to take their mind off their problems so I can actually think ;)

Jeez - I must've become really boring. The space analyzer I use has no colours, no pretty pictures. It does have really simple horizontal bar graphs, a tab for largest files and one for largest folders. All explorer file operations can be performed within the app.

Andrea Mosaic (AndreaMosaic Home Page)
With AndreaMosaic you can create your own photographic mosaics made with your own pictures. A photo mosaic is an image composed of many tiled photos.

Works with no problem under W7 RC (checked portable version, but it has installation one too).

Free with restriction of effect picture to 200 megapixels, 30 thousands tiles, and 100 thousands of pics in collection (more than enough for private use). After donation of more then 30 EUR we get restriction rised to 8 gigapixels, 500 thousands tiles, and 500 thousands pics collection.
It works with one core now, but guy is working on multi-core, or even CUDA use.

I used this on an old XP system, and the results were fascinating and impressive. It ran sloooow on a P-III. I'll have to try it under Windows 7 and a better processor.

Thanks for the reminder of a good program from a nice guy. :)

On XP I swore by AVG, ZoneAlarm, Spybot and Adaware for all my protection.

I have not been able to keep ZoneAlarm's free F/W, so I thought I would give Comodo a whirl since I had heard good things about it.

I just installed Comodo A/V and F/W and it SEEMS to be running fine...I noticed that it is not on the list. Are there still issues with it and 7?

Also, is it worth installing Spybot and Adaware on 7, or is that over doing it?

I would suggest you install Spybot S&D but only in offline mode so that it does not conflict with Comodo IS - just run it once in a while manually to double check your system.

I think it's overdoing it, but I don't think it would hurt anything.

Comodo Internet Security works fine on W7. Great app, although I mainly use the firewall part of it.

You might want to also install the free version of Malware Bytes as an additional on demand scanner. It's one of the best malware removers available. I've successfully used it to clean several infections (on other peoples machines).
