Microsoft SyncToy 2.1

Here's one to add to the collection: Microsoft SyncToy 2.1, and is available in both x86 and x64 versions:

There are files from all kinds of sources that we want to store and manage. Files are created by our digital cameras, e-mail, cell phones, portable media players, camcorders, PDAs, and laptops. Increasingly, computer users are using different folders, drives, and even different computers (such as a laptop and a desktop) to store, manage, retrieve and view files. Yet managing hundreds or thousands of files is still largely a manual operation. In some cases it is necessary to regularly get copies of files from another location to add to primary location; in other cases there is a need to keep two storage locations exactly in sync. Some users manage files manually, dragging and dropping from one place to another and keeping track of whether the locations are synchronized in their heads. Other users may use two or more applications to provide this functionality.

Now there is an easier way. SyncToy, a free PowerToy for Microsoft Windows, is an easy to use, highly customizable program that helps users to do the heavy lifting involved with the copying, moving, and synchronization of different directories. Most common operations can be performed with just a few clicks of the mouse, and additional customization is available without additional complexity. SyncToy can manage multiple sets of folders at the same time; it can combine files from two folders in one case, and mimic renames and deletes in another case. Unlike other applications, SyncToy actually keeps track of renames to files and will make sure those changes get carried over to the synchronized folder.

JetBrains Omea Reader 2.2 fails to install the Firefox Add-on which means feed importing must be manual (add-on appealr to work up to FF 2 only so all 3 users will be in the cold). Also failed to import Firefox bookmarks with no manual way of doing so (except one-by-one).
Did import Google Reader OPML file (as an XML) file so I guess that's crucial and the feeds seem to read well.

Omea seems a very powerful tool with lots of good functionality but is badly hobbled especially when it comes to automation for users of a current Firefox installation.

Edit: and I uninstalled it, really is a bit of a dinosaur. For fun I imported my Google reader xml (opml) file into Internet Explorer which is then automatically picked up by Windows Live Mail - the WLM reader is pretty damn good reader. why MS make it so convoluted to import a feed aggregation (opml) into WLM beats me - but coz I had to open Internet Explorer I was reminded what an awful browser it is!

FeedDemon, Win7 compatible, active (last updated 14 Nov 2009), powerful tools, clean UI, syncs with Google Reader (both ways).
After an hour with it I'd say it is easily best of breed - I might even start using RSS again!

DVDVideo Soft - For a lot if not most of your media needs. Downloaders, converts, editors, msuci files, video files, and way more. Very good and handy little programs. Get the all in one version called FreeStudio download. of if you want can just get them singly per your needs.

I have been using these for years on most all systems. Love them. Sweet awesome little program for free.

I must say I'm very impressed with the MS SyncToy 2.1 app that was listed by another poster above. Excellent little utility that is just what I needed and love that there's an x64 version. Thanks and rep added for that one.
