Free PDF to Word software

Hello all,

I've just been googling for a free pdf to word software. There are many such softwares to be had but some provide less than desireable results. I have tested several and the time lost in doing so was considerable. Thus I thought to ask you if you have already tried and tested a pdf to word software and are pleased enough that you would recommend it to someone else.

Note: I prefer NOT to upload pdf's to an online pdf to word converter.

Basically there are three ways to do it:
1. Without 3rd party software,
2. With 3rd party software on-line and
3. With 3rd party software off-line:

1. WITHOUT 3RD PARTY SOFTWARE:

PDF - COPY + PASTE PDF TEXT INTO WORD DOC
Open PDF, highlight text to be copied, go to Edit, select Copy. Then open Word doc and Paste.

PDF - TRANSFER TEXT FROM PDF FILE TO PUT INTO AN MS WORD FILE
Open PDF document
Go to File, Save as Text
Save as a Text File
Go to Windows Explorer and open the Text File
Copy and Paste into MS Word
(Can only copy the text, not the formatting)

Or, in the PDF document hit Ctrl + A
Highlight the text/image to transfer and hit Ctrl + C
Open the Word doc and hit Ctrl + V.
Transfers like a copied image --- can’t edit.

2. WITH 3RD PARTY SOFTWARE - ON-LINE:
You said you didn't want on-line software, so we'll skip these.

3. 3RD PARTY SOFTWARE - OFF-LINE:

I've tried this PDF to Word doc file converter: 1-2-3 FileConvert - Free PDF to Word Converter and not only does it work well, but the resulting Word doc is editable.
