Hi and welcome to SevenForums,
Well yes
Windows essentials that has Movie maker that is free and pretty good and you might actually have it already installed ?
Look at Start button and All Programs all the way at the bottom.
Other third party ones is Audacity I've used in Linux but there is a windows version too just watch out where you download it from and carefully watch out during the install for crapware being bundled into it like All CNet downloads

All fans PWM; speeds at idle: CPU circa 500 rpm; intake circa 600 rpm; exhaust circa 600 rpm; CPU temps 27 idle and 47 C load in a warm room (27 C/81 F) when running Intel Extreme Tuning Utility stress test.
For simple video edits like cutting out a section of a movie clip, removing TV ads etc, Avidemux is quite good. If you cut on I-frames, there's no recode - so fast and lossless. Despite the name, it also does mp4 and mkv. I use it a lot to boost audio in a movie (leaving video on copy). Doesn't do fancy stuff like cross-fading etc.
thanks guys for replying!!! I have used the one the MS has and I wanted to edit my videos and audio with a little more features
audacity is good but is there an audio editor that is free and is it better than audacity?
