On 1st boot of the day, after 5 or so minutes of operation, pc will either freeze (no response to mouse/kybd) or give a quick bluescreen, then restart.
If it just freezes, I manually restart and then it works fine for rest of the day. Can run for hours w/ no probs. I have tried:

clean boot
sfc/scannow
malwarebytes - no issues.
memtest86 - 11 passes - 0 errors.
cloned the C: drive and replaced it.
Latest graphics card drivers.
Uninstalled AVG. Installed Avast.

I have looked at the event log and the files from the "dm log collector" program,(report attached) but don't really know enough to interpret.

Win7 Pro 32-bit 10-yr old pc I built that has been great so far.

Thanks for any assistance

Welcome to the forum.

Please edit your profile with ALL your hardware specs.
I would say that is a scheduled task launched on on the fist boot of the day.
Open Task scheduler and look for those that are launched once a day.

Run Defrag and Win update.
Set Win update to disabled.

It is not necessary to defrag an SSD indeed some say you should never defrag an SSD!

When I wrote to defrag, I didn't have your specs.
As Mitchell reminded, defrag has no effect on SSD and shouldn't be done.
Windows normally disable defrag on SSD's.
Look for the schedule tasks that run once a day with 5 min delay start.

I didn't see any scheduled tasks that had a 5 min delayed start. Several tasks were related to Microsoft Customer Experience Improvement Program so I opted out of CEIP and disabled AitAgent, QueueReporting, ProgramDataUpdater, Consolidator, and anything that had CEIP in the title. Also uninstalled Spybot. Still had pc freeze after a few minutes. Even after a clean boot. Latest "dm log collector" and a screenshot of my Event Viewer are attached. Thanks again if you have any further ideas for me.

It's very difficult to us to say what is wrong with your computer. We can only guess, like I did, and you have run after to find a solution.

I see on your specs that you have a SSD. When you installed the SSD, did you do a Clean install or cloned the existing HDD to the HDD?

Hi OUT5,

You could update your BIOS, current f10 yours f8.
Are you overclocking if so reset to defaults
AVG ZEN is still on your system
Update your Broadcom/Nvidea drivers WU - keeps flagging then
(Avast/spybot are experiencing connectivity issues)
Try just running MSE for the moment
some of your windows updates do not appear to have completly installed
suggest you run
sfc /scannow
and SURT KB947821
post the results

You are capable of running 64bit W7 OS, with your College Volume MAK key
note there is an activation limit

OK, I updated Broadcom & Nvidia drivers, deleted Avast and installed MSE. sfc/scannow reports no issues. Ran SURT KB947821.
My PC has been running for 2 days now with no freezes or bluescreen. I'll wait a few more days then mark this as solved. Thanks everyone!
