Hi,

My computer often freezes up. It is not from anything specific, I can be in My Documents, on the web etc. Once it freezes up, I have to manually turn it off and reboot.
Twice once rebooted, the login screen would not appear. All I would get was flashing back and forth from a black screen to the login screen. I then would manually reboot again, and enter in Safe Mode. Once doing this and using System Restore I could Login.
The freezing happens on a daily basis, multiple times a day.

Thanks,

Nicholle

What happens if you don't manually restart it when it freezes? I am having a similar problem with my computer freezing up too and I can't find a solution or narrow the problem down.

I cannot find a solution either. If I do not manually restart it will just stay exactly as it is frozen. I have tried letting it sit to see if eventually it will resume but it doesn't. It will stay on and stuck until you manually turn it off.
