Thank you in advance for any help that you can provide.
Over the last few months I have experienced frequent hang ups or frequent "not responding" on almost every application I run (Firefox, Microsoft Word, Control Panel, even Explorer when I'm trying to open a file). I keep Microsoft security essentials updated and have run full virus scans and have found nothing week after week. I have defragmented my hard-drive three times over the course of the incident and it has not resolved the issue. I am not quite sure how to precede further as I continue to have these constant issues.
Here are the system specs I can supply:
Laptop: Dell Studio 1555
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU T6600 @2.20GHz
RAM: 4.0GB
Anti-Virus: Microsoft Security Essentials
Browser: Firefox
Please let me know if this is the incorrect forum to post in. This one seemed the best fit for the problems I am having. Thank you.
