Good morning everyone,

so I've had this computer coming on 5-6 years now. but for the past year and a half its been giving me issues. I've taken it to computer repair shops left it there for months on end to receive a PC that still ISNT working..

so finally i have a coworker whos husband actually works on computers as a side gig with his son who goes to college for computer tech stuff. awesome... so they worked on my computer reinstalled windows 7 had it running no problem. but every time they would go to update the PC to windows 10 it would hardlock * by hard lock i mean it would hard freeze the whole PC and stay stuck being nonresponsive to anything you did.. IE pressing scroll lock caps lock moving the mouse etc*

Ok no big deal i didn't care much for win10. so anyways i received my PC back after it was fully updated and plugged it in. 5 minutes later after downloading Chrome (to get off of Internet explorer) & Steam. i receive a BSOD saying TCPip.sys data (insert #s here) . woo awesome.. so then talked to some of my friends who said it was the internet driver itself. which makes no sense because the guy told me it ran fine on his internet no crashing or nothing. so i unplugged my Ethernet cord from my PC and let it run all night expecting BSoD. surprising it ran for 12 hours no BSoD. no hard freeze, nothing.

so i ask. can someone please give me some ideas how how to fix this. cause I've pumped 250$ already into buying new hardware for the PC for it to still give me issues.

if anything else is required please let me know.

Hello and welcome Khris mate could you follow these please as I cannot open RAR files

That error TCpip.sys I have seen a couple of references to the network card and wifi drivers being not right and I think you could for starters reinstall the drivers for those. However from just knowing what you have in your specs I/we only know it is an Asrock Z77 Extreme and I am not getting any hits for drivers for that board on their site - have you tried the site yourself ASRock > Support you may have more luck there.

By the by the i7 are you overclocking that?? and I see you are not running any AV - any reason??

Ok Khris now there is one dump file I am not familiar with and to be honest I am not as good as some of the others in decyphering them but in the following there seems to be a fault with your Broadcom LAN driver I am assuming.
Now I have seen this same board very recently and had great difficulty in finding drivers for it maybe you can do better than me because the other instance someone referenced the drivers but I cannot fidn that particular thread:o.

Hey ICIT2LOL ! So is it a network driver error? You wouldn't happen to know anything I can use to find the "correct" driver ? Everything I've tried hasn't worked out correctly

I am saying t could be mate I am not 100% sure the driver you might try the AsRock support site and see if you can find the driver it as I cannot make sense out it simply because it doesn't list drivers for the board gear.

If we could find the actual network device then the driver might be better accessed via the manufacturers site.

Now to find that use PART B: from this
Using HW Info
PART A:
You can test the volts on the PSU with HW Info HWiNFO, HWiNFO32/64 - Download < download the right bit version and close the right hand window select Sensors and scroll down to the power section where you will see what the volts are doing see my pic. In my pic the section (Nuvoton) with VBATT as a dead give away you are in the section for the rail voltages. There are other section titles and one that pops up often is ITE (sometimes the usual one for Gigabyte boards)
Now the voltage on the different rails have to be within 5% =+/- of what is required or the machine will not work properly if at all.
Limits +/-
12v = 11.4 – 12.6v
5v = 4.74 – 5.25v
3.3v = 3.135 – 3.465v
The Power good signal voltage at pin 8 on the 24 pin plug (grey cable) should be the same as the 5v rail reading/s
See this for the rail voltage info
PSUs 101: A Detailed Look Into Power Supplies (Section 2.)
The original right hand window shows the machine running and is handy for that but for looking at the components in some detail close it and use the main left hand side panel
FOR OTHER COMPONENTS
PART B:
Open each small square with + in it on the section the components are in and then click on the individual component/s (it will highlight in blue) - in the right hand side will appear all sorts of details including brands speeds and other essential info that particular device. See pic for example.
