Solved Fresh Win7 install now cannot access partition on C drive

I got this message ... Failure when attempting to copy boot files.
When i copied the General partition (now O) to the K partition, the boot file structure that resided on O disappeared and now has simply the file Boot.BAK which is only 1kb (after I split the partition into 2 and copied from O to K, this Boot.BAK file was the only file on the O partition as well prior to me deleting it. So the copy process seemed to kill the Boot file structure that was there before.

This is why we use automated methods here.

All you had to do was tell us what you needed or Google it in seconds:

Download Partition Wizard bootable CD, burn to CD using ImgBurn at 4x speed, boot CD.

Now follow the steps to see if it isn't messed up too badly from no interaction with plainly stated steps which have worked sucessfully thousands of times.

Rightclick from booted PW CD on C to Modify>Set to Primary, OK, Apply. Then rightlick again C to Modify>set to Active, OK. Next rightclick C again to Resize, drag left grey border to far left and right grey border as far to right as you want to expand C, OK. Apply steps.

Finally highlight the Win7 HD by clicking on it, from DIsk tab choose Rebuild MBR, OK, Apply,

If Win7 doesn't start boot into the Win7 DVD Repair console or Repair CD, accept any offered Repair. If Win7 doesnt start boot back in to run Startup Repair from Tools list up to 3 separate times with reboots until Win7 starts on it its own.

The issue was, as stated in Posts 12, 14 ,17 & 19 that I could not get the Bootable CD to download - or when I did, it indicated no image file to burn. I just clicked your link (same as before) and it downloaded and immediately offered the option to burn an image file - it had never worked prior!

So I now have what I presume to be a workable Bootable CD and will now follow the above steps to the letter.

Many thanks.

You absolute legends! Worked like a dream. While in the bootable Partition Wizard, I got rid of the K drive as well (as I had everything on it backed up) and then after a couple of passes of the Windows repair console, she booted up perfectly. I have now expanded out the C partition to the full size of the disk (now about 186Gb) so should not have any 'full C Drive' issues in the foreseeable future.

Again, many thanks to everyone who offered assistance.
