Full-range Speakers Option

I have a speaker system that consists of two tweeters and one subwoofer, plugged into the audio jack on the motherboard.

Should I or should I not have the "Front Left and Right" option checked in the "Full-range Speakers" section?

That is optional, but with just the standard 2.1 stereo speaker system I would not use that.

I have a 2.1 system and tried it and didn't like it.

Since there are so many combinations of sound software and speakers, it's hard to be able to determine what settings work best with any particular combination (although firebird is our resident audio expert and I trust what he says). You could always try the setting to see how it sounds. After all, it's your ears that are doing the listening and everyone's ears and tastes are different.

I just tried that option again, on a couple of songs. Made absolutely no difference on my Phillips 2.1 speaker system.

As far as I know, it's been on this whole time, so I was just wondering exactly what it does... I haven't heard any problems.
