I just got this processor a few days ago, its cooled by a corsair H60 Liquid cooler, still havent tweaked the cpu or anything,, all settings are set to auto in the bios.
Heres idle screen shot of my temps,,, The pc was on about 5 mins when i clipped this image, at boot Core Temp was showing 6 degrees then it went up to 12 then down to 8.
I was under the impression that these processors ran hot. Also is it odd that some cores are almost double the lowest temp?

If your running another monitoring software along side that one, it can cause false readings.

I have just discovered that several degree difference between cores is very normal. My 3930k has a 13c difference between hottest and coolest.
