Hi everybody,

I did not find anything on the forum about G-Data.
Does it run under Windows 7 RC x86?

Thanks

Hi crockett,
I was wondering if you checked the website of the company who makes the G data software to see what they had to say?

I can confirm that G Data InternetSecurity 2010 works fine on Windows 7, as does TotalCare (Firewall, etc.).

If you use the official release there is no firewall. However it does work with the their beta win7 release. Both seem to be missing the anti-spyware component tho -or so says the windows action center.

I have g data running on windows 7 x64 and found a weird bug that has had me baffled for a while.

I recently had to uninstall the firewall after finding it did not ACTUALLY turn off when I disabled it as it was interfering with World at wars server list refresh I would have to push the refresh button a few times to get a full list of servers, usually only getting a random list of about 20 out of over 2000 the first time.

Shattered horizons server list would not refresh at all strangely both apps where given full access through the firewall.

Now I use comodo firewall with only Gdata Antivirus and anti spam installed works great really good combo.

There is also a weird bug with gdata on windows 7 x64 the "create boot cd" function does not work it seems to but does not actually write any data to your blank dvd or cd.

If I had not paid for a years subscription I would be tempted to remove it as it seems to need more testing and updating, the $39 for 3 licenses was hard to resist as it's virus detection does seem very good but not it's not as good a package as many of these "reviews" claim
