I've tried to restore the desktop gadgets that came with Windows 7.
When I click on to restore them it tells me this:
There were no Windows or administrator gadgets to restore.
When I try to add a gadget to the desktop I get this teeny thing on the desktop. I can take a picture of it if that helps.
Thank you for your time.
Since I've received no replies with help I thought I'd add a picture of what I'm getting when I try to add a Gadget to the desktop. I tried to add the weather one but all I see is what's in this picture:

Hi there,
Open taskmgr and kill sidebar.exe process.
Open the run box and type the following text and press Enter.

Code:
%localappdata%\microsoft\Windows Sidebar
Rename the Settings.ini to Settingsold.ini and then launch the gadgets again.

Let us know if it works.

They all seem to be working now except the yellow "weather"one. But I can do without that one. Oh to be so smart as you!
Thank you for your help.
I guess I can mark this as Solved.
