hello,i uninstalled my mcaffe security today,as the trial period had expired,with the result my gadgets are not working now,i have installed the avg free 2013 security.i used system recovery,to see if that would bring them back,but no luck,the gadgets are there but in blank boxes,there in an error showing,it wont let system recovery bring it back to when it was ok,i was using a clock,weather,and slide show in gadgets,dont want to do to much messing around,in case i **** it up,any simplified help would be helpfull,cheers
Removing McAfee is what causes this, but I have as yet been unable to determine what the ultimate fix is. Try creating a new user, and see if the problem exists there. Chances are it will not, and the best thing may be to transfer to the new user account.
