HP drivers did not make a noticeable difference with the lagging/stuttering/jerking/FPS dropping/however it would be defined at this point. On the other hand, everything seems to be running cooler now with the new driver.
At this point, I think my best course of action is to just restore everything to factory default and install everything back slowly.
