Ive tried all types of compability-modes and "running as admin" and so on. Still wont work!

Ive asked around on diffrent forums for help, all day long but with no good result.

If you need to know my system specs just check my profile!

Most grateful for help. Starting to get desperate.

Best regards and sorry for bad english.

dont worry about the english but we do need more information. What does it do when you attempt to run a game? Is there an error code?

Does it happen with every game?

Does it happen when booted into safe mode (F8)?

Every game so far havent worked. Tried NWN + Both EXP, GTA SA, HALO: Combat Evolved.

Different things happen depending on which game im using. On NWN the start menu comes up (With play, update, config etc) and i click play ofc. Game starts up in uber low res and with no sound. When i come to the main manu the game finally crashes. This happens all the time.

On GTA SA it starts up correctly with sound. The problem here is the messed up graphics! Im running it on the highest settings. The colors and stuff are weird. Its clearly not enjoyable with those graphics. Check my image for example:

1- What games?
2- Did you update your DirectX files?

And we can't help you if you don't tell us what you did with the suggestions we provided you.

Here is your problem Graphics Card XFX Radeon HD 5750 1GB GDDR. You need to find a driver that will work with the games or Win 7. Try updating to the latest driver for your card

Done that. What i DO need drivers to is for my soundcard intergrated in the graphics card (Using HDMI). I cant find the latest drivers to the sound card so i would be happy if anyone did.

Check my profile for information.

Best regards

Well after struggling with an ATI card for around two weeks trying to get my games working I found that the drivers are a very shaky affair for these cards. It does not always work on the latest driver like most should. You may need to also roll back to previous drivers. Is this a new PC as a matter of interest.

Where are you from?

Its a new PC. After that the previous drivers didnt work i installed the latest ones, with no better result, though.

Im from Sweden.

Do you have a soundcard at all? Or are you only trying to use the video card's sound system?

I ask because of your post, and the fact that you list no other soundcard in your system specs other than ATI.

Actually. I dont know what to call it. Ive learned that some graphics cards have intergrated soundcards, so i assumed that was the case with mine too.

There is one sound card intergrated in the motherboard, also.

OK,

I don't think you can use the video card's HDMI audio to play games. In short I'm not sure it's designed for that.

So... for this purpose, since you have no soundcard, you need to make sure the one on the motherboard is enabled and updated with the latest drivers. Check you motherboard's website to find the latest drivers.

Once you've done that, go to Control Panel, Sound, Playback tab, and make sure the MB's soundcard is set to default. That will ensure your MB souncard is the default soundcard for the system.

Try your games and let us know.

OK, just posted a question at rage3d on using the HDMI port for gaming and my answer came back like this...

You can use the ATI HD Audio processor if you are using a HDMI or DisplayPort connection that supports Audio (i.e. no adapters etc. to connect to display).

For Driver, the Catalyst package includes a recent driver, or you can get the latest Realtek driver package from their website (it's a realtek device).

The only problems I've had with ATI HD audio is when having a non-realtek audio solution (like an X-Fi board) installed, Cyberlink PowerDVD 10 won't start until the ATI HD audio is disabled in device manager.

I use ATI HD audio over HDMI for my HTPC and it works great for movies and games (HDMI connection to my HDTV).

HDMI Audio for playing games? - Rage3D Discussion Area

In other words, you need to have the HDMI port connected to an HDMI source such as a monitor. If the HDMI source isn't connected to anything, you get no sound.

Also note the driver answer.

To add....

ALL video cards have/has driver issues. You could visit an Nvidia forum and find people screaming just as loud there about drivers. In short, ATI's drivers aren't any worse/better than Nvidia. That's why they have that thing called "Driver Updates" ;)

Anyways, the OP's issue may not even be a video issue. That's still yet to be determined ;)

My .02 cents
