This is my components list for the gaming computer that I'm planning to build. Any feedback or advice would be most helpful as this is my first build and I'm a total noob

Everything you planned to build looks great to me.. But with this kind of Gaming Rig! you're missing a very important thing that is SSD (Solid State Drive) and yeah if you can get Western Digital HDD instead of Seagate Barracuda it'll be better..

oops sorry my eye skipped straight to Seagate

I always had better experience on WD than Seagate.. I think that in terms of performance, price and quality of the product as well warranty WD's are better.. but this is in my experience some people say Seagate some say WD so im one of them who say WD is better

This might be useful regarding hard drives. It's a study of the return rates for various hard drives sold by a large retailer.

Components returns rates (6) (page 6: Hard drives) - BeHardware

All hard drives are subject to early failure or even DOA. It's cheaper for them to replace the failures than make them more reliable.

A few hard drive models actually have bad designs. I think the Seagate 7200.11 was one instance. Newer Seagates seem to be better.

No one is going to recommend a brand to you if they have personally had a bad experience with that brand. It happens.

I've never had a drive fail and have owned all the major brands. I currently have Western Digital and Samsung HDDs. The last I checked, they were both among the fastest. The Samsung might be a bit quieter.

Take your pick and hope for the best. I'd pay attention to price, return privileges, support, and warranty. If it does not fail, you may not notice any difference between the brands in performance.
