gaming laptop or desktop

I just don't understand why anyone would want to but a laptop specificlly desgined for gaming. For that kind of money you can build an extreme gaming desktop rig with either dual or triple SLI/crossover GPU setup. It just baffels me.

the same reason i would buy a gaming laptop, to play skyrim on the commute to work lol

Maybe they would like to game at other places or have a powerful portable machine. I like to use my Netbook even though I have a PC. As it is sometimes easier to use and move etc.
