Hey everyone :)

So I have a Geforce 650 TI Boost since October or so. First I used it until March this year, I always got a BSOD with the error code 116 (driver issue) in nearly every game I play (from Sims3, SimCity, TERA, ESO) except GW2 (strange, but I don't know why).

It was so frustrating that I decided (around March) to switch back to my old Radeon HD 4870, because I tried everything I found (windows update to the last possible, tried every driver version I could find, one of them more than one year old, installed them in safe mode and stuff, nothing worked.)

Due to the fact, that I got myself a Wacom Cintiq Graphic Tablet, and my Radeon is so old, that it doesn't have a HDMI port, I choose to give my Geforce a new try, maybe two months of driver development could help me.

Everything worked fine for about... two weeks (changed the card around 18th june) I could play everything (from the games mentioned to some new) but, since yesterday no game lasts long, and again, it's the 116 bluescreen.

I got the newest driver (from 26th may, according to the download page) I also updated my windows today, I can't play anything, from really simple games like Plague Inc. no Sims, none of my RPGs (including Skyrim and Mount and Blade).

I don't want to spend another 150 to 250 Bucks on new Hardware (wether it's a other Graphics Card or another mainboard). I want this to work, because I was so happy when it first run two weeks without problems.

additional I can say, (but I don't know if it is of any help) that I can watch youtube videos / dvds and work on photoshop without any problems , but at the point when I start a game... I can just play for ~ 20 to 30 minutes :(

I zipped and attached the last 4 occurances from yesterday... thanks for any help!

my system:
Mainboard Asus P8Z68V_LE
12 GB Ram (3 modules with 4 gb, one freshly bought last week, other two tested a couple of months ago)
Intel i5 2500
Geforce 650 Ti Boost, driver Version 331.65
Win 7 , 64 x Bit version, everything updated with today (exactly half an hour ago or so)

I am on the edge of desperation.
Anyone wanna help me ?

best regards :)
Mythoria

Before we go any further you need to be aware that your Windows install is counterfeit. You have an ACER PID on an ASUS motherboard.

Code:

Counterfeit installations such as yours can contain heavily modified code that causes the installation to behave it unexpected ways. Analysing BSODs and determining their causes on these sorts of installations is very unreliable. For this reason, many analysts won't attempt it.

My recommendation is to install a genuine Windows 7. This will minimise the problems you are experiencing, and make subsequent diagnosis of BSODs far more reliable. Once you are running a genuine Windows 7 installation, and are still experiencing BSOD's, we will be happy to help you solve them.
