I have an Acer Aspire laptop which is getting the BSOD. I can only start it in Safe Mode. My problem is I was using extended desktop and the tv monitor it is connected to is set as the primary monitor.
When I start in safe mode it only sees that monitor and doesn't have any options to change the primary monitor back to the laptop screen.
I would like to get it changed to the laptop as the primary monitor so I can copy files to an exterior drive in Safe Mode without being connected to the external monitor.
I figure I can't fix the laptop so I just want to get files off of it. But if I do bring it to a shop I would like the display on it working anyway.

Have you tried the Win Key + P combo? 0d8a4985-b5e2-41a6-a1b6-e4bafb517937_92.png + P

Seven, have you tried to turn your laptop on without the external monitor plugged in?
Normally it will change to the only monitor that it finds.

Yes solved

Yes Thanks, I just came here to say that's what I did. I don't know why I didn't try it before. I guess when I started in safe with the other monitor I didn't think the laptop display was working.
Also I think a reinstall of windows 7 might solve the bsod problem.
