getting blue screen every now and then

My laptop (Dell Inspiron windows 7) keeps crashing every half hour. It goes into a blue screen and I get a prompt to chose how to start windows. I start windows again norlammy and it works for half hour before it crashed again. I need to do something. I have backed up my files and would like to refresh the laptop to factory setting and clean the entire disk. I dont have a windows 7 CD. how will I refresh my laptop. -- restore it to factory setting.

help please.
