getting new mobo/ cpu

should i reinstall windows 7 after baking up key things(either way i will have to call in... i think) so there's no problems with drivers. or just reactivate? to save time

If you do not have an OEM version, when you are ready just install. Give your key after installation, not during. Most drivers etc, will be already installed.

With an OEM it can only be used on one machine
With upgrade only one machine at a time

yeah i got the retail upgrade.

use to use OEM XP lol

so i should just reinstall for safty, but this is a brand new mobo hit market after win7

Agreed you must do a clean. But when asked for your key, do not give it. After you are installed, give the number, then. You may have to phone activate, or even speak to a tech, but you are within the rules. There will be no problem.
