Hi,

I had an issue with games that use GFWL were it was continuingly asking me to log into my profile i would hit yes and it would just ask again and again.

So i decided to uninstall reinstall GFWL and now no game that uses it will load it just crashes.

i Have tried numerous things reinstalling the game, installing DX to no avail.

Does anyone have any ideas. Messages from the event log below:

Still struggling with this.

Noticed in the error that it is referencing a xlive.dll which doesnt appear to exister in the winows32 folder.

Also references a Syswow folder which is also not referenced.

Could this be the issue?

Thanks

Ok,

As i test i downloaded xlive.dll as a test and the game launched but i couldnt sigin in to my account.

So this definately points to a problem with the xlive.dll fil not being seen.

Has anyone any ideas?

Thanks

I cant find this file anywhere on my PC (xlive.dll).

Can anyone confirm that this file should be there after installing GFWL client?

Thanks

Kev

Finally fixed it

Ok,

I finally sorted this doing the following:

1. Uninstalled the client.
2. Uninstalled the games.
3. Unchecked hide OS file extensions so i could see the syswow64 folder.
4. Deleted all files that began with xlive* in the filename.
5. Rebooted.
6. Installed a GFWL game.
7. Rebooted again.
8. Launched the game.

All my games that rely on this damn client now work correctly :D

Cheers

Kev
