Ghost in the machine

I rather like Ghostery's Tracker Control function and have just downloaded and installed the most recent version for IE 11. Unfortunately, whenever I close my browser I get an "Internet Explorer has stopped working' flag; does anyone know how to eradicate this glitch?

Hi,

I don't use IE, but it appears that the problem you report has been around for quite a while.
For example:
IE11 Desktop frequently crashing on Facebook, HuffPo - Microsoft Community

Solution was to uninstall Ghostery IE.
But they do have a web page and even a support link.

Let us know how it goes....

This is the second time this year I have attempted to use it; earlier-on I had a different problem and attempted to contact them but got no reply. I had hoped they would have fixed the glitch or at least started answering their requests for help but it is not to be. Are there any working tracker controls available for IE11?

Hi,
Gear symbol on the top right,
Manage add-ons,
On the left column Tracing protection.

It's much easier to use Superaintispyware

Thank-you Mr Thrash; I've activated the IE protection. Superaintispyware is a complete package, so I would be removing a lot of stuff I already have running right?
