GMail being blocked by Google?

If you have a GMail account, and you receive your email on your PC using an email program like, Windows Mail or O.E.Classic, you may be having trouble logging in to Google to get your email.
Your email program is most likely NOT the problem, but it's your NON-Secure password.
Now Google wants to give you a 16 digit secure "App Password". But the process is not simple.
I found a U-Tube video that will walk you through the process.

It really helped me to have two PC's to use....one for watching the video and the other to access my GMail account at Google.

Once the 16 digit App Passwords were used to replace my old passwords in my Email programs, I could download my email as usual.

My email program (Windows Mail) was never the problem, as I thought,,, it was that danged NON-Secure password.

Didn't you read my post? It's NOT the Client that's not secure, it's the dang simple passwords that people use, that are so easily guessed, or hacked.

Now with the Google 16 digit "App Password" installed into my email accounts, three of them, on multiple PC's, I'm back in business with NO further problems.

Oh yes, I thumb my nose at MS, because I'm using Windows Mail (of Vista fame) on Windows 8.1, even though they tried to disable it. I guess they want me to use Windows Live Mail, which is a real POS!
Windows Mail is far superior to many other email clients that I've tried, over the years. Other than Outlook Express, of course.

They disabled using older browsers that don't support some secure process (I don't know all of the specifics) called 0Auth. When it come to Outlook that would be before 2016. The app password gets around that. I think that they have completely blocked some clients.
