Gmail drive not working

Hello everyone.
I installed Gmail Drive but its not showing up in Windows explorer anywhere. Tried it using compatibility mode, still no luck. When i double click the setup file, its stuck on this screen. See the screenshot below;

have you tried un-installing it completely, rebooting and then reinstalling it?

yep i have tried it but i guess that was meant just for xp.

have you tried the firefox extension gspace? https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/1593

among other things, will allow you to view files uploaded to gmail drive (useful if you already have files on it)

that extension works with firefox 3.5.2 but it can only let you download, but i cannot upload files on to it.

it is gspace, some sort of gmail drive alternative that still offers the nice feature of viewing gmail drive, while still allowing to upload to gspace, I thought I made that clear, it's the same as let's say microsoft word can open wordperfect documents but can't create them.

Thought you just wanted access to uploaded files + a way to upload more files to gmail, but seems like you really require it to be gmail drive

I used to have a program that mounted gdrive, ftp sites, live mesh, sky drive, etc I forget the name It worked in vista. so it may work in 7. im going to see if i can find it again.

The ground rule is that this extension doesnt work in 64bit windows.

I had the same problem as the original poster. But when you close the dialog and go to My computer and refresh you will see the gmail drive already installed.
So its just that it doesnt show the whole installation process like it should but nevertheless its installed and works just fine.
