Gmod Audio Stutters then Stops

In the middle of a gmod session, the screen would freeze, the audio would stutter, and I after a while its good again, but there's no audio anymore for my entire computer. I tested many things, and I figured out it was a problem with the playback device. When I tried to test or "configure" it, it said that it failed to start the test or something.

I don't know what Gmod is but I am going to state the obvious since you make no mention of it... have you updated your Audio Drivers. If you haven't, might as well update both Audio and Video while you are at it.

The sound problem is just a byproduct of whatever caused it to freeze up.

I would suggest starting with checking the system for infections because of this.

Antivirus None (Because they all had annoying ads and did nothing)

I also have no idea what Gmod means.

You can use MSE which has no adds.

I agree with the above. If by GMod you mean Gary's Mod, I would verify the game files in Steam

I did. Says both are up to date.

GMOD is a Source Mod made by Gary Newman and it's a Sandbox Game meaning there is no goals and just do what you want to do in the game. It's got many game modes by the way
