Goodbye FireFox, Hello Chrome

I tried hard to like chrome, it just didn't set well with me. Jumped over to Opera for a while before coming back to FF. IE9 is my backup but I just like FF too much :D

FF crashes are mostly caused by Addons :)

This is probably true especially of the newest version 4. The addons I use every day are firebug and Internet Download Manager. Given equality of addon support the speed difference becomes a major factor. Chrome is by far the fastest. It uses the Webkit engine and independent speed tests have apparently confirmed this engine as the speed leader.
The IDM addon is a huge cause of crashes btw, so your issue lies in IDM not with FF ;)

Haven't heard of this, I use and love IDM. Never had a single crash in any browser.

CHORME ADD ON ARE - SUCK!

I seriously want to give you rep right now. There's far to little dyslexic shouting on this forum
:D
Best post I've read all week!:roflmao:

:focus:
I'm using 4.0.1 Firefox with a bunch of add-ons, and I don't think it has crashed at all...maybe one time since I updated.:geek:

Well, the best part of this thread is the fact that there are compelling alternatives out there and people can find what works for them.

With regards to FF crashing, as others said, Add-ons are often the issue. I'm running FF4 on 3 different machines and it's almost the only browser I ever use. I only use about 3 plugins and it's been a solid release for me. I'm not sure that I have experienced a single browser cache since moving to FF4....and my experience with browser crashes in 3.6 were few and far between.

But I'm not here to persuade anybody to ditch Chrome. If you like it, fine by me. Use it. But for those on the fence or undecided, I don't want them to think that FF4 is a debacle and should be avoided.

I use FF3.6 because I hate the UI in all other browsers (including FF4). I will be sad the day FF3.6 loses support.
