i don't think they support add-ons yet; you can use extensions or scripts, which requires you to add "--enable-user-scripts or --enable-extensions" to the target line

the one new thing they added to this is the new tab page; you can try that by adding
"--new-new-tab-page" to the target field by right clicking on chrome and clicking properties; the new tab page is similar to chromium, which is what i'm using version 3.0.193.0 build 20021

yeah I have been using --new-new-tab-page which is a nice page. But I must be blind because I still cant see addons mentioned even with the --enable-extensions added.

Please advise us when there is a stable version of Google Chrome that will run properly on Windows 7 64-bit, without having to perform manual registry hacks.

Thanks

you can download the stable version 2.0.172.39 now!

i've been using version 2 for weeks with windows 7 x64 with no problems at all, no registry hacks, and flash works fine too. the 32bit browser works great in my 64bit OS - try it yourself!

the guys above are discussing beta version 3.

but why oh why does it install itself into c:/users/*username*/appdata/local/google/chrome/application? what's wrong with program files (x86)/chrome???

Google seems to make a habbit of installing their apps, and work folders in weird places.

Ever checked out where Google Earth saves it's files? :D

Thanks for your info.
Its things like those silly install problems you mentioned that I'm interested in.
Most programs usually display the default install folder during install but also give you the option of changing the install folder.
Did Chrome not even give you an option?

no - i always go for custom install, but no option with chrome.

it's no big problem having the files stored there, it just seems odd...
