Yesterday and today Google Chrome has started randomly closing pages and throwing me to a blue screen saying: Aw Snap! Something went wrong while trying to display this webpage. To continue, reload or go to another page.

This occurs of random pages such as facebook, twitter, youtube, amazon and including Google itself and even Chrome's own settings page gets zapped!

I have tried the following:

- Ctrl+F5 (to bypass local cache)
- No extensions
- Installed Adblock Plus Extension
- Checked my firewall, Google is all green.
- Disabled Firewall
- Created a new Chrome profile (after renaming the old one)
- The --no-sandbox trick
- Kaspersky's TDSSKiller

The only thing to come close to working was in the Chrome program files are two .exe's; chrome.exe and old_chrome.exe and old_chrome.exe works fine except for I get an error saying this is an out of date version and the user profile sync does not work.

The only other option is to uninstall Google Chrome, wipe as much data for it as possible and re-install.

Does anyone else know wtf is going on and how to fix this because it's getting really annoying and all of the fixes I see repeated online have not worked.

Thank you

Josh

If you have followed all the KBs on google suggestion for this error, and it looks like you have;
I would fully uninstall and reinstall the browser. Do you have any other issues in any other web browser like internet explorer or firefox?
