I have a Acer Aspire M5100. I have upgraded a few of its parts over the years, a 650 watt power supply, a Geforce GTX 460 graphics card, a AMD Athlon 64 x2 3.2ghz CPU, and have 6gb of RAM. Only part that is the same is the motherboard. I have a windows 7 32bit os and a windows 7 64bit OS. The 64bit OS I installed earlier today. I installed the most recent graphics card drivers for both OS's. 32bit drivers for the 32bit OS and 64bit drivers for the 64bit OS. When I boot up in 32bit it works just fine, but when I boot up in 64 bit OS and go to device manager the GPU says "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)". I have tried to reinstall the drivers but it did not help. Does anyone know what is causing this problem and how to fix it? Also on a side note the audio does not seem to work says "No audio devices are installed". Any help would be much appreciated.

Do you have a 32-Bit and 64-Bit Operating system on the same computer?

The 32 and 64 bit drivers could be creating a conflict.

They are on the same computer but completely different hard drives. I change the hard disk boot order to choose which OS I want to load.

The drivers for both 32 and 64 bit are the same, 32 bit not 64 bit. Open program files x86 and you will see the NVidia drivers folder.

The same driver covers the 420 series up to the 900 series.

Hopefully you have used these on the 64 bit OS.

Yes those are the drivers I have. I also tried some of the previous drivers including a beta driver and non worked. Out of curiosity would it be possible for me to run a 64bit virtual machine on my 32bit OS and play a game that requires a 64bit OS and requires more than 4GB of ram?
