Apologies in advance if this has been covered but I tried searching the site with no luck. New member and unfamiliar with the site procedures.
I am having problems with my computer freezing up for no apparent reason. After about five seconds of being non-responsive, it goes to a grey screen with somewhat slanted vertical lines. It can be something graphic intensive, processor extensive, all the way down to working on a simple word doc. It happens once every few days or so and it's just something I have never seen before. It is a hard crash and on re-boot, occasionally I get a 'start-up repair' prompt but in most cases, it's the usual options to 'start in safe mode', 'start normally', etc.
On a google search, this seems to be a somewhat common problem with drivers for AMD Radeon GPU's. I have also seen it suggested as a RAM problem. But while I do have a x64 AMD, my GPU is a Nvidia 7150m/630n integrated GPU/Mobo. And my memtest passes with no issues.
I am hoping it will be a simple driver issue. But knowing my luck......
