GTA IV is possible the worst PC port of all time, to run this game at reasonable fps you'll need a high end GPU. I've got a HD 7790 and I don't even get 60 fps, and on other games like bf3 i get nearly 100 on high settings..

hello Quinn here

I have a 8 core AMD processor and a 2GB Radeon HD 6670 graphics card, I am also running windows 8

and I'm still getting lag from GTA IV but only when I play on medium or higher graphics.

I don't know weather it is my graphics card or other because I'm not sure about how good graphics cards are???

please help

thanks

It's not your specs, it's the game itself because it's very poorly optimized for PC.

Hmm,

I see a lot of talk of people having problems with this game even on high end PC's but i have personally had no issue's with it at all. I've even modded it to my own tastes with some cars, speedo and the UI from GTA 5 and get a constant 60+ fps.

I don't even run it off my SSD and it loads fast enough and like i said no problems what so ever. Never been a fan of ports either but to be honest out of all the ported games i have played GTAIV as been the best (For me) so far.

And has you can see from my specs i'm still only running a GTX560. May be it's more down to how much software/processes etc people have running on thier systems. I am personally a clean freak with what i have running on my computer.
