Half-Open TCP Connections Limit

Older versions of Windows, including Windows XP and Windows Vista included a half-open TCP connection limit of 10, which usually required a patch to bypass.

I've heard that Vista SP2 and Windows 7 does no impose this limit. Is this true? A client wants to build a network of 30 odd computers, but he does not want to use Windows Server. He wants to load Windows 7 onto all computers.

And how does half-open connections have to do with what the client wants?
I'm confused...

Also, the whole half-open connection limit debate is pointless. There was never an actual problem.

Thanks. I just wanted to confirm that we won't have a problem with 30 Windows 7 computers without Windows Server

You wouldn't even if there was a half-open limit.
