halo 2 for vista on windows 7(problem)

Hi there.
My previous computer had vista, just that it was too sucky for this game.
Now, i've got a new laptop with Windows 7(HP Dv6-2055) and I thought I could try it on this pc.
I don't know much about how this installation even progress.."Play while installing" and all that.
However, i get to the launcher window, but after that..http://www.sevenforums.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=39271&stc=1&d=1259499662

How do I re-install if it would solve this?

He meant, go into Windows Update, and install the patches for "Games for Windows" then try again.

I'm curious about this as well, seeing as I want to get this game.

The only thing related to this was Games for Windows - Live, so I downloaded it but I don't know if that's what you mean.
