So I finally broke down and bought Halo 2. All excited and got it installed. Go to run it and nothing happened. Mouse turned to the busy signal then reverted back to default. I checked task manager and watched the processes when I tried to run the game. It shows up for a while then just disappears. I don't really know what's causing it. I've read all over the internet that people are easily running Halo 2 on Windows 7.
My computer is more than sufficient but I had an idea that maybe my video card was to blame.

I'm wondering if the Optimus software is making Halo think that I don't have a sufficient video card since the nVidia card doesn't kick in until the game is running. I don't know what else it could be. Any suggestions would be helpful.
