Hi,
Story: I have a 750GB primary HD on my quad core with a secondary 2TB WD. Last night I hooked up a 1.5TB WD My Book Home Edition via an ESATA connection. I wasn't really paying attention but somehow a intel raid installation popped on the scream. Thinking it was just the ESATA drive I clicked through the prompts and installed RAID 0 (thinking it was just the ESATA mirroring my primary and secondary HD). In the morning I returned to the computer and everything was peachy until I rebooted. My 2TB HD was gone and the ESATA drive was no longer recognized by the computer. In the BIOS I can see the primary drive (750GB) and the WD 2 TB drive - both checkout ok (I removed the ESATA). In disk managment I see my primary but now my secondary no longer present. It does show a device that is unallocated but only 698GB (not partitioned). I tried removing my the 2 TB drive but the computer will not boot up correctly- stating I am missing the primary boot drive and to put in a CD to boot off of. I have tried system restore- works but didn't fix my problem. I also have a windows home server. I tried a recovery- that didn't work either. How do I get my 2TB drive back? Of note, the available drive can be partitioned to a new simple drive with a name of Volume_0000.
