I am having an issue with my Windows 7 on my Dell Optiplex 780! I lost 50GB of hard drive space C: in just five minutes! it went to 7 GB free and then keeps going down every time I check it until it rests at 0 bytes free. Restarting my computer always makes the drive go back up to 50 GB free, but as soon as I start using programs again, the hard drive space diminishes.

I Googled the problem but only a few really old Windows Vista results showed up, there is noting regarding this problem on Windows 7! Does anybody know what the problem could be?

You need to get one of the tree view programme that shows amount of use for each folder so you can see were it's going as a starting point to discovering what's doing it. Does it do it in safe mode if not something is running at start
