Hardware failure of some kind?

Hello, I'm having trouble with my computer crashing. My tower has bright blue lights which will help me explain the problem.

About a month ago my son was playing on the tower with a heavy toy car. He dropped the car and it hit the side of my tower after hitting the support the tower sits on from the desk. It just happens that the side it hit is the side with everything on it. My computer crashed and I had to pull everything out and reseat it before it would even go into repair mode. It wouldn't start up in even safe mode. After reseating, everything went fine.

Now I'm running into the problem that if I don't have the one side open all the time it dies. Which leads me to believe it's a heating problem. It runs fine with the side open. My tower has 5 fans in the walls alone. 3 more if you count the fans on the parts inside. Within the last 2 weeks however, it will crash and tries to restart. I have to cut the power to the PSU to turn it back on because it just keeps trying to reboot. Like a car trying to turn over and it just doesn't work. The lights flash and the fans turn on showing that it's trying to turn on, but until I shut off the switch to the PSU and back on, it won't boot up. My old Gateway had a motherboard go out of it and it was similar in which it would light up but not turn on. But as I'm writing this from my computer, I don't think it's a motherboard problem.

This is the only thing I could find in the time of it happening that is error, critical, the like.

I'm not near the expertise of the people on these forums, but I know a bit about computers. I don't want to take it to a local computer shop until I get feedback from some different sources.

Is the volmgr possible the reason that it's not booting up properly? It crashes from power issues then can't do the crash dump initialization?

Enter event viewer in the startbar search box and navigate to the application/logs and check for any critical errors and post them here in a screen shot...

Do you have a fan mounted on the side panel that you have to remove in order for your system to work? If so, do you disconnect it? If you have and you do, try physically removing the fan from that panel and try it with the panel (now minus its fan) replaced.

There are no hardware logs under event viewer. After looking through logs after the initial problem and not seeing anything I could decipher, I deleted all old logs so that I could more easily see newer problems. I have the old logs saved somewhere.

There is a fan connected to the side of the tower behind the motherboard but it is in use and not disconnected.

It's done it 3 times this morning. The last being just now. It seems that it is only doing it on graphics intensive games. Fallout 3, CoD4 Modern Warfare. My CS:S and WoW aren't causing it to crash. It can run all night long or all day playing them. The graphics intensive is what's causing it. I'll run the two games with lower graphics and see the result.

On top of that, this last time I let it go through it's cycle unlike the last two times and it is more and more like a car trying to turn over. It sputtered trying to start up and I let it go. It started up for about 5 seconds, then died again. I let it keep going and it started back up like normal.

Being that it's graphics effected, should I look and see if the voltage for the GPU needs upped a little?

Checked for events again and found nothing in the hardware logs. Looking under system, it's the same as the OP, kernal power loss and volmgr not able to dump.
