has the windows 7 explorer folder refresh bug been solved?

Hi, sorry its hard to coordinate a time where the bug appears and then getting to the forums.

I just noticed the bug appearing, so I was rushing to log in and try attaching a file. But in the middle of typing the bug resolved itself. So I was not able to attach a file in time. I didn't expect the bug to go away so fast.

I have this problem too, very annoying that there isn't a definite fix yet.

my system's been totally free of this problem for months now.

i have a very strong suspicion that it was linked to a dodgy network driver - but i'm not brave enough to install it again to test. :o

Hi, I was the one who originally started this thread, unfortunately the issue came back (and comes back often). I have come to live with it, but it is really distracting. Happens almost everyday I think.

I noticed that this problem was not occurring in 'Documents' but not the library 'mirror' of Documents. I'm going to keep an eye out to see if it happens in libraries only, as I also remember it being pretty bad in Pictures Library.

W7 64b Pro, no antispam, no Libraries, etc.

No matter if i re sort by columns, etc., the newly created file does not appear.
If i open a new explorer window, the new file or folder is there properly.
I do not have any anti spam, no networked disks, nothing fancy!
Just several SATA internals.

this very annoying bug happened to me again a few weeks ago - it didn't last long, i quickly restored a recent image, and since then it hasn't come back. *crosses fingers*

the worrying thing was that the bug occurred with sp1, with a new version of explorer.

i still haven't got a clue what causes it, and why only a few people suffer from it...

Tried almost every suggestion on the net,but nothing helped solving my specific problem.
After spending several hours myself this fixed it for me:
Open explorer --> right click on Documents --> in the documents library pane click the Restore Defaults button --> click Apply
Problem solved
