(Wasn't sure where to post this so apologies if it is in an incorrect section).

Some time ago I used a Tutorial here to hide the Sound icon in my Notification area:
System Icons - Enable or Disable

I have now applied the Enable program to reinstate it as, frankly, I missed it and hadn't realised how much I actually use it. All has gone well but it now opens a single volume and I then have to click on Mixer to bring up the full options.

It wasn't like this before I fiddled and hid it and wonder if some kind person can tell me if I it is possible to get the full options back on clicking the icon and how please?

All and any help much appreciated

Although I have Windows 10, Seven is probably similar. I just go to the icons, right click on the one that I want and drag it to the area that you want it displayed.

hi right click on the speaker icon and choose volume control options see if changing things in their makes a diferance. or you could just right click on speaker and select open volume mixer.

Oscer1 - thankyou I have tried all the possible combinations there but sadly I am still only getting the single volume when I left click the sound icon. Right clicking on the speaker and selecting the Volume Mixer is a great workaround if I can't reinstate the old behaviour ... thanks for the suggestion.

Richc46 - apologies but I don't quite understand your advice in helping to open the Volume Mixer rather than just a single Volume?
