i have an Asus U30Jc, running Intel i3 @2.26, 4gb ram, nvidia310M 512MB + intel gma (switchable), 320HD, running win 7 HP 64 bit.
1stly, i seem to have lost functionality of my nvidia graphics card. here's what happened: was watching a movie with my gf one night, and put the laptop to standby after the movie finished. the laptop automatically woke up, and showed not the normal resolution of 1366x768, it was @ 800x600. gave me an error message that cannot find nvcplui (nvidia control panel). so i restarted thinking that would resolve the problem, but it did not. tried contacting ASUS, got a response two weeks after, but no help, and cant seem to get their phone line (will keep trying; cuz i also lost the built-in webcam, says message that its being used by another programs and cannot open).
then recently have been getting the bugcode_usb_driver BSOD. want to know if the problems can be correlated, or not?

as for the bugcodes_usb_driver problem, a solution is to uninstall everything under USB controllers uninstall it. i've attached a pic of everything in the list, was wondering should i remove everything or is there something that i should leave.
any help is appreciated. thanx to all in advance.

I would guess that the 2 problems are not associated. But, for the graphics. Is the Nvidia Control panel marked as loading under the Msconfig startup tab?
In the device manager, the graphics appear to be working OK, but you have obviously slipped into VGA mode. Worst case - overheating and your card has burned out.
Before you get too deep into solving the problem, try uninstalling the graphics driver and rebooting. See if Windows can put back (possibility) a working driver. If it does, and you have automatic updates turned on, check to see, in the history, if Microsoft have offered an updated driver, which obviously did not work.

Failing all that, go with the debugging procedure, which I am sure will point, in any case, to a graphics card failure in some way or other.
