Having it connected to the network but not internet

The reason i want it not to access the internet is i think it is using bandwidth at night.....

Depends on what apps you got running i suppose.

The are many ways to do it. One is this...google.com is your (and mine) friend.

Some routers actually have a facility to prevent specified LAN IP addresses from accessing the internet - my D-Link router, for example, can do this. Check if you have this option.

Well, i now need it to access as i now use it for my iTunes streaming.

Thanks anyway, i got it to work with an assigned IP, and also i use it now to share a printer over the network, so i'm happy now.
