Having serious issues with directory file corruption - please help....

Hi everyone,

I am very new to building computers. I have built my first one, downloaded windows 7 as the OS (Using CAD programmes so need this as windows 10 doesn't support all of those that I need to use). I have however, had some serious issues using the windows update tool.

I have used SFC scan now, this has thrown up that there are corrupt files. Found a great piece of software, called scanfix now, used this and has shown me the issues, see listed below:

don`t worry about the corrupt file error right now.

If you installed ANY updates at ll, that`s what caused the false reading, don`t worry about windows updates right now, it`s not important, get your PC running great 1st, there are all kinds of people having all kinds of problems with windows update (well, not me of course) don`t worry about windows update.

Where did you get your windows installer from ?

Exact details please.

Did you activate it yet ?

Where did you get the activation key from ? Your COA ?

The first thing I always do is run MemTest. Before anything else especially installing the OS. If you didn't do that, you should do so now; I've never used the one in Windows but that's worth a try too.
